The pet did not turn up today
The reminder is scheduled by your phone, so it needs notifications to be allowed. Check iOS Settings, then Daily Fact Pet, then Notifications. In the app, the settings screen shows whether reminders are on and at what time.
Reminders are scheduled two weeks ahead and topped up each time you open the app. If you have not opened it for more than a fortnight, they stop until you do.
I missed a few days
You get up to three facts to catch up on, oldest first. Anything older than that is genuinely gone. This is on purpose: a queue of eleven facts is homework, and the joke does not survive it.
Where did the pet in the Dynamic Island go?
It is there while today's fact is still waiting to be heard, and it leaves the moment you have heard it. It is a marker, not a widget. It also only appears after you have opened the app at least once, which is a limitation of what iOS allows an app to start on its own.
Can I read ahead?
No. Previous days shows only what you have actually heard. The whole app is one fact a day, and letting you read the collection in one sitting would spend it.
How do I stop sharing usage data?
Settings, then turn off Share usage data. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is sent and what never is.
How do I delete everything?
There is no account to close. Deleting the app removes everything held on your phone: your collection of facts, your settings, and the random number that usage data was tied to. That part is permanent and we cannot undo it.
Usage data already sent to our analytics provider is not removed by uninstalling, because your phone can no longer tell it which records were yours. To have that deleted too, turn off Share usage data in Settings, tap the identifier shown underneath it to copy, and email it to us before you delete the app. See the privacy policy.
A fact is wrong
Possibly. Tell us which one and we will look. Some of the original trivia this app is based on is more confident than it is accurate, and the character has never once hedged.
